Seasonality

The regions key industries are significantly seasonal which has a major impact on the nature of employment needs and opportunities.   The aim of the Seasonality Focus Group is to maximize opportunities across industries throughout the year and to ensure the appropriately skilled labour force remains within the region and is able to meet labour market needs.

The key months of demand within each industry have been identified along with the generic skills required across the industries.

A number of forums for employers have been held to outline immigration service processes, requirements and changes to policy.
